STAND OUT AS A
THOUGHT LEADER

EXECUTIVE POSITIONING

Thought leaders are the sought-after experts who are confident, credible, and influential.

They have a vision of the future and the communications skills and platforms to articulate it.

As Thought Leaders become recognized as experts, their ideas carry greater weight. This enables them to influence the decisions of customers, policymakers, employees, investors, and other stakeholders.

And yet, the world is filled with brilliant people whose ideas are never heard.

Our 1:1 coaching will help you successfully position yourself as a thought leader — in your organization, your industry, and the broader business community.

WHY YOU CAN TRUST US

As Director of Executive Communications for UPS, Dean Foust created one of the most talked-about thought leadership programs in Corporate America.

Dean and his team secured speaking roles for UPS executives and created their presentations for the World Economic Forum in Davos, the APAC CEO Summit, Europe’s Web Summit, the Fortune Global Forum, and the Consumer Electronics Show.

He launched UPS Longitudes, which won the W3 Award as the world’s best corporate blog; and an executive social media program that achieved more than 5.5 million organic impressions annually on LinkedIn. Dean also led UPS’s partnership with the TED Institute. Ten presentations that he helped conceive and coach were selected as a TED Talk of the Day.

MEET THE COACH

Dean Foust is an award-winning communications executive who brings his experience in business, media, and creating Thought Leadership programs to every client engagement.

Dean has provided media coaching and editorial support for executives who appeared on CNN, CNBC and Euronews; were quoted in The New York Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and Fast Company; and were published in The Financial Times and Harvard Business Review.

As Director of Executive Communications for UPS, Dean and his team created the presentations and prepped the executives who spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the APAC CEO Summit, Europe’s Web Summit, the Fortune Global Forum, and the Consumer Electronics Show.

At UPS, Dean used storytelling to reposition the company from a perceived victim of technological disruptions to a disruptor itself. The narrative: that through its investments in AI, drones, and autonomous vehicles, UPS could help customers “future-proof” their supply chains. He also built a thought leadership campaign around the company’s transformation initiative, which created sell-in opportunities with other C-Suites and Boards.

Dean secured inclusion in LinkedIn’s Influencer program for UPS CEO David Abney. Abney’s following grew from 2,000 to 286,000, vaulting him to #12 on Brunswick Group’s Most Connected CEO rankings — ahead of the CEOs of Disney, Starbucks, P&G, and Johnson & Johnson.

Dean and his talented team created a thought leadership blog, UPS Longitudes, which was named the world’s best corporate blog in the prestigious W3 global awards; launched a corporate podcast that ranked in top 20% on Apple iTunes; and created a corporate video that won Bronze at The New York Festivals of Film and TV.

During his 23 years as a writer, editor and bureau chief for BusinessWeek magazine, Dean interviewed two current and former U.S. Presidents, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan (bi-monthly for five years), and thousands of CEOs and C-Suite leaders including Peter Drucker and Warren Buffett.

Dean himself made upwards of 200 TV and radio appearances on networks including CNN, CNN International, BBC World News, BBC TV, CNBC, MSNBC, C-Span, Fox Business News, PBS’s News Hour with Jim Lehrer and was a regular on PBS’s This Week in Business roundtable discussion show.
