BUILD A CULTURE OF
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS

As the pace of change accelerates, the competitive advantages that businesses relied on in the past (lowcost operations, financial resilience) are no longer enough. Customers want to buy from companies with an innovative vision — thus, ensuring their viability long into the future. And smart companies know that being perceived as a leader confers many benefits, including the ability to attract new clients, greater pricing power, and the ability to recruit and retain the best talent.

We help companies build the thought leadership programs that enhance their reputations, differentiate their products and services, promote their value propositions, activate customers and employees as brand ambassadors — and move prospects into their sales funnel.

MEET THE COACH

Dean is an award-winning communications executive who helps CEOs, senior executives — and the companies they lead — become world-class communicators. He has provided media coaching for clients who appeared on CNN, CNBC and Euronews; were quoted in The New York Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Fast Company; and were published in The Financial Times and Harvard Business Review.

During his 23 years as a writer, editor and bureau chief for BusinessWeek magazine, Dean interviewed two current and former U.S. Presidents, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan (bi-monthly for five years), and thousands of CEOs and C-Suite leaders including Peter Drucker, Warren Buffett, Colin Powell, Ross Perot, and Fred Smith.

CORPORATE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

As the head of executive communications for UPS, Dean used storytelling to reposition UPS from a perceived victim of technological disruptions to a disruptor itself. The narrative: that through its investments in AI, drones, and autonomous vehicles, UPS could help customers “future-proof” their supply chains. He also built a thought leadership campaign around the company’s transformation initiative, which created sell-in opportunities with the C-Suites and Boards of customers and prospects.

At UPS, Dean also created a thought leadership blog, UPS Longitudes, that won the prestigious W3 Award for the world’s best corporate blog. His team won a Bronze Medal at the New York Film Festivals of Film and TV and 10 of the TED@UPS presentations he helped conceive and coach were selected as a TED Talk of the Day.

The company’s CEO and senior executives delivered this narrative at major events including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the APAC CEO Summit, Mobile World Congress, the Fortune Global Forum, the CECP CEO Investor Conference, the Consumer Electronics Show, Europe’s Web Summit, and The Economist’s Year Ahead event.
